Community Meal
We offer meals for the whole community on Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. All are invited to join us as we gather around the table with friends, neighbors and strangers! To-go boxes are also available. Donations are appreciated but not required.
Wednesday, April 2
(Tater Tot Casserole)
On Wednesday, April 2, we will serve tater tot casserole, ambrosia salad, hot rolls and iced tea.
Wednesday, April 9
(Philly Cheesesteaks)
On Wednesday, April 9, we will offer philly cheesesteak sandwiches with peppers, onions and cheese.
Wednesday, April 16
(Salsa Chicken & Cheesy Rice)
Wednesday, April 16 is Merriam Rossow's birthday! We will serve her favorite — salsa chicken, cheesy rice, salad and birthday cake.
Wednesday, April 23
(Baked Ham & Potatoes)
On Wednesday, April 23, we will serve baked ham, potatoes with a veggie on the side.
Wednesday, April 30
(Shredded Meat Cookoff)
On Wednesday, April 30, we will have a shredded meat cookoff to benefit the Blessing Box. Join us for a delicious meal and a bit of fun to help stock the Blessing Box for summer!
Interested in competing? Email Pastor Alex at alex@wamegoumc.org by Thursday, April 27 to sign up. On Wednesday, bring a crock pot with your favorite shredded meat! We will provide bread, toppings and a side. Our winner will take home a "taste of Wamego" gift basket!
Interested in eating? You would make a great judge! We will have a variety of shredded meat dishes, bread, pickles, coleslaw and crock pot corn.
All proceeds will benefit the Blessing Box! Please consider donating a nonperishable food item that will hold up well outdoors. Monetary donations can be made via cash, check or Venmo (@wamegoumc).
